What is Screen-Free May?
For the last four years, the WILDE community has taken a bold step: putting down our phones and picking up new hobbies. Screen-Free May is our month-long commitment to trade scrolling for real-life experiences.
This year we are inviting the whole region to join the movement!
Why It Matters
Modern life is digital, but our brains need a break. Most kids and teens in Canada are spending way more time on recreational screens than the recommended two-hour daily limit. Research shows that too much screen time is linked to higher stress, anxiety, and trouble sleeping. By stepping back, we can improve our focus, boost our happiness, and strengthen our real-world friendships.
