"I strive to empower students as critical thinkers and independent learners, encouraging them to follow their interests while supporting their unique academic needs."
"I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and German as a First Language, as well as Master’s degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language and in the Science of Education, all of which I completed in Switzerland, where I grew up.
My teaching journey began with grades 7–9 in Switzerland, where I especially loved serving as a learning coach and mentor to my assigned group of students. Supporting them through the challenges of adolescence in a post-COVID world, I guided them in setting goals and creating plans to follow their dreams beyond graduation.
Outside the classroom, I pursued my passion for sports and the outdoors by teaching soccer, coaching ski camps in the Swiss Alps during winter holidays, and leading riding camps through my lifelong love of horses.
These diverse experiences have shaped my belief in education as a holistic journey — empowering students academically, physically, and personally."
"I approach teaching as both a mentor and guide, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and grow into independent thinkers. By fostering trust, modeling reflection, and encouraging persistence, I help students develop the confidence to follow their own path, while knowing they have a supportive mentor beside them.
I also believe animals mirror our emotions and can be a powerful asset in education; for this reason, I like to bring my dog Sira to class-it’s fascinating to watch her help regulate the energy and focus of the group."
"I grew up in Switzerland, hiking and skiing in the mountains and exploring Scandinavia, Iceland, and Greenland with my family. Today, I live on a farm in Ontario with my partner, where I care for cows, horses, chickens, cats, and dogs.
I love being active, riding our horses, growing our own food, and tackling all the daily adventures and responsibilities that farm life brings!"
