CD is a teacher and lifelong learner who inspires students through exploration, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to become well rounded, capable humans.
Having always valued the authenticity his favorite teachers brought by sharing their life experiences, CD started by seeking his own.
After earning his B.S. in Education, he sought opportunities to understand the world through guiding trips, working as a ski patroller and avalanche technician, a farm hand, and an arborist.
During his years after returning to the public school system, he realized the need for a school like WILDE, where students combine curriculum with experience to grow as whole humans. He is thrilled to be a part of the education revolution.
CD believes education should empower students to grow as thinkers, leaders, and community members.
He creates spaces where curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on learning thrive, and where mistakes are seen as essential steps toward growth. By balancing structure with exploration, he helps students build confidence, connect deeply with their learning, and discover their own strengths.
CD loves exploring the world, especially alongside his children. Whether hiking, biking, or visiting out-of-the-way parks, he enjoys discovering unique natural features, learning through new experiences, and talking to new people to find out what sparks their passions.
